Luis Irizarry, MD

Dr. Luis Irizarry's goal is to provide quality medical care to his patients. In practice since 1993, he is honored to earn the trust of his patients. He says, "The best is yet to come with the love, help and support of my team.

Dr. Irizarry treats patients 18 years to older adults, focusing on preventive health, annual physical exams and Medicare annual wellness exams. His expertise is in primary care management treating chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hypothyroidism and high cholesterol. Originally from Yauco, Puerto Rico, "La Ciudad del Caf", he is fluent in both English and Spanish and welcomes patients seeking a Spanish-speaking doctor

Dr. Irizarry is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). He earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio Dominican University. He then attended The Ohio State College of Medicine and completed his residency at Christus St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, TX. He proudly served as a Medical Officer with the United Stated Army Medical Corps with tours in Europe, Egypt, Israel and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Family time is precious to him. He loves spending time with his family, hiking in Sedona, biking and traveling. Once an avid volleyball player and triathlete, he now enjoys a little sun, sand and beach. Like a warm cup of coffee, Dr. Irizarry welcomes you to Village Medical.
