Subhasis Maitra, MD

Board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics, Subhasis Maitra, MD, is committed to providing exceptional care for his patients. Dr. Maitra began practicing medicine in 2002 with clinical interests in obesity, weight loss, preventative medicine and pediatrics. He works with patients ranging from infants to adults, performing adult physical exams, well woman exams, well child exams and Medicare annual wellness visits.

Dr. Maitra earned his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University and attended medical school at the University of Illinois. He completed his residency at the University of Texas in Houston with a focus in internal medicine and pediatrics.

When he's not treating his patients, Dr. Maitra enjoys biking, comic books, baseball, golf and reading. He and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Maitra, have been married for 25 years and have three children. He met his wife at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Dr. Maitra grew up in Chicago and has practiced medicine with his wife in the Goodyear/Litchfield Park/Avondale area for 16 years. He and his family love to hike and camp all over Arizona. He loves to play baseball with his son and is a big Chicago Cubs fan.
